Qualify noise reduction earmuffs
I've only used these once with a jointer but they seemed to cancel out most of the sound. They fit well and are comfortable. A good value for good quality.

Does the job at the rocket site
We use this Peltor earmuff set almost exclusively at XCOR Aerospace. We make rocket engines and the things that use rocket engines. We test our engines frequently. We have tried about twenty different styles and manufacturers of ear protection gear and except for some unique applications (headset with face shield) these are the best. Even when we're 20 feet from a running 1,500 lb-thrust LOX-kerosene engine. These earmuffs are also easy to repair and clean. After nine years of hard use, they still do an excellent job.
